Under the initiative of Vision 2026 and its collaborative organizations

More than 450 lives were lost when Kerala was hit by the worst floods in a century. Initial reports suggest losses worth Rs.40,000 crores INR. The efforts of the people and the government are now directed towards the rebuilding of the state.
24x7 Relief Cells
A state level relief cell was formed by The People’s Foundation Kerala and Ideal Relief Wing (IRW) on 16th August 2018 to undertake and coordinate flood relief activities throughout the flood affected area of Kerala. Human Welfare Foundation and its national level associates Human Welfare Trust and Society for Bright Future who are working together for the accomplishment of the project “Vision 2026” joined with this relief cell from the day first of its functioning. The relief cell worked for 24 hours from August 16 to 26 in Kozhikode. Apart from that, relief cells were opened in all the 14 districts. Hundreds of volunteers camped at the state and district relief cells. The relief cells received thousands of phone calls seeking rescue, and the volunteers undertook several rescue operations accordingly.
We rescued 6396 persons directly run 267 relief camps and partially assisted 212 camps across Kerala. Around 124,266 people have lived in our camps.
Food kits and Household items for two and half lakh people
Following the destruction caused by the floods, there was unavailability of food materials in grocery stores and super markets. Our volunteers have supplied food materials 46,415 families who were staying in relief camps and houses. We supplied 4 million liter drinking water among 44,000 families across the state. We also supplied kits containing household items, footwear and clothes to 18,112 families who had lost their houses and household items.
Cleaning
Apart from that, our volunteers took part in cleaning activities too. While the cleaning activities are still progressing, we have cleaned more than 7800 houses and 2000 wells, 1312 institutions including schools, community centers, mosques and hundreds of and roads.
Half lakh volunteers
Over 37,000 volunteers participated in the post-flood cleaning process, 4000 volunteers were actively involved in the relief camps and 2000 took part in the rescue operation. Also 10 boats were actively used in the rescue operations.
Supermarkets for the Flood-hit
Supermarkets for the flood-affected people to buy essential things! Such special supermarkets were opened by the Ideal Relief Wing, in three centers in Kerala. Volunteers visited the flood-affected places and distributed coupons to those deserving. And people can buy essential things using this coupon. T Arif Ali, General Secretary of Vision 2026, inaugurated the supermarket opened at Panthalam, in Pathanamthitta.
Around 150 people visited the People’s Bazar at the Islamic Centre, Kadakkad in Panthalam, and bought essential things on the first day itself. The Bazar provides food items, clothes, utensils, sandals etc. There are also facilities to transport items to the houses of those who cannot reach the supermarket.
A similar supermarket was opened by the organization at Cheruvannur in Kozhikode, focusing on the garments for Onam and Eid celebrations. “These people are doing a great favour. This is indeed a blessing for many who have lost everything. All thanks to Lord,” said Ayisha who had come to the supermarket to buy garments for Eid. Another supermarket was opened at the Hira Islamic Centre in Thrissur.
Around 18500 people bought essential things from the three supermarkets.
Great models of religious harmony
The flood relief activities in Kerala witnessed great harmony among the different religious communities in the state. Many Masjids Churches, and Temples opened their door for victims irrespective of cast and religion. Volunteers have cleaned up hundreds of masjid, churches, and temples in coordination with the local people in different parts of Kerala.
National Leaders’ Visit
National leaders of the Vision 2026 visited various flood-affected areas of Kerala. T Arif Ali, General Secretary of Human Welfare Foundation and Mammuni Molavi, Vice Chairman of HWF visited flood-hit areas and camps.
We leaders realized that we must reconstruct the state. A complete rebuilding plan should be made. That is not something the government can do alone, but rather all peoples, civil society organizations and corporate should be a part of it.
Rehabilitation Projects
The biggest challenge at present is to rebuild and reconstruct the state setting an example with robust and reliable infrastructure. We have chalked out various rehabilitation programs and projects in collaboration with governmental and non-governmental organizations.
We have made a target of
(1) Reconstruction of 500 house and repair of 1000 houses
(2) Livelihood support to 500 persons who lost their livelihood options by providing equipment (Rs.10000- Rs. 35000) per project.
(3) Books and study material to 500 students affected by the flood
(4) Establishment of 100 drinking water facility
(5) Establishment of 20 Waste Management Plant
(6) Reconstruction of 50 libraries
(7) Organizing 50 health camp for scientifically intervene in the health-related issues emanated post flooding.
We are thankful to all individuals and national and international organization assisted for conducting immediate relief and offered support for rehabilitation.. We are obliged to different north Indian communities, Rohingyan Refugees etc, who made their effort for relief collection and endorsed us for the implementation of relief project in Kerala. We also appreciate efforts of volunteers from north and north Indian states who reached in Kerala for immediate relief.
We hope and request all philanthropists, civil society organization and corporate to be part of the mission of the reconstruction of Kerala as we joined together for the immediate relief during the days of flood.

ہیومن ویلفیر فاونڈیشن نے پریس کانفرنس کی کیرالا کے بازآبادکاری پروجیکٹ کا تفصیلی تعارف کرایا
نئی دہلی : (پریس ریلیز) کیرالامیں آئے صدی کے سب سے بڑے سیلاب سے لگ بھگ ساڑھے چار سو سے زائد جانیں تلف ہونے کی اطلاعات ہیں ، اور 40 ہزار کروڑ کا مالی نقصان ہوا ہے ۔ مصیبت کی اس گھڑی میں پورا ملک کیرالا کے ساتھ کھڑا رہا ۔ پہلے مرحلے میں ریلیف کے بعد اب تباہ حال کیرالا کی باز آبادکاری کا مرحلہ شروع ہوا ہے ۔ ہیومن ویلفیر فاونڈیشن معاون این جی اوز پیپل فاونڈیشن کیرالا اورآ ئیڈیل ریلیف ونگ کے ساتھ ملکر کیرالا کی باز آباد کاری کاکام کر رہا ہے ۔ فاونڈیشن نے 500 نئے گھروں کی تعمیر اور1000گھروں کی مرمت کا کا م اپنے ذمہ لیا ہے ۔
ان خیالات کا اظہار ہیومن ویلفیر فاونڈیشن کے جنرل سیکریٹری ٹی عارف علی نے کیرلا میں فاونڈیشن کی جانب سے جاری بازآباد کاری کے کاموں کا جائزہ لینے کے بعد دہلی واقع فاونڈیشن کے صدر دفتر میں منعقد ایک پریس کانفرنس میں کیا ۔ یہ پریس کانفرنس کیرالا سیلاب کے موضوع پر منعقد کی گئی تھی ۔ ٹی عارف علی نے فاونڈیشن کے بازآبادکاری پروجیکٹ کا تفصیلی تعارف کراتے ہوئے کہ ہم سیلاب متاثرین کی کئی طرح سے مدد کر رہے ہیں ، جن لوگوں کا روزگار ختم ہوگیا ہے ایسے 500لوگوں کو 10ہزار تا 35000 روپئے کی مدد کر رہے ہیں ۔ اسکول جانے والے بچوں کے لیے کتاب کاپی اور دیگر چیزوں کا انتظام کیا جا رہا ہے ۔ 100مقامات پر پینے کے پانی کی سہولت مہیا کرائی جا رہی ہے ۔ سیلاب سے تباہ 20کتب خانوں کی مرمت کا کام کیا جا رہا ہے ۔ اور عوام کو ہیلتھ کیمپوں کے ذریعے طبی سہولیات مہیا کرائی جا رہی ہیں ۔ عارف علی نے کہا کہ ہمارا مطالبہ ہے کہ حکومت اسے قومی آفت کا اعلان کرے ۔ اس سے بازآبادکاری میں آسانی ہوگی ۔
ٹی عارف علی نے میڈیا کو بتایا کہ عوامی مقامات سڑکوں ، پارکوں ، اور پلوں کی تعمیر نو اور مرمت کاکام حکومت کر رہی ہے لیکن اس وقت گھروں کی تعمیر سب سے بڑا مسئلہ ہے ۔ہمارا ریلیف سیل پوری طور پر مصروف عمل ہے ۔ شمالی ہند کے لوگوں نے مصیبت کی اس گھڑی میں کیرالا کی بڑی مدد کی ہے ۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ سیلاب کی تباہی سے دوچار لوگوں نے ایک دوسرے کی مدد کا اعلیٰ نمونہ پیش کیا ہے اور فرقہ وارانہ ہم آہنگی کی اعلیٰ مثال پیش کی ہے ، لوگوں نے ایک دوسرے کی جان بچانے کے لیے مسجد ،مندر اور گرجاگھروں کے دروازے ایک دوسرے کے لیے کھول دیے ۔ ہمارے والینٹیرس نے 267 ریلیف کیمپوں کے ذریعے 6000سے زائد لوگوں کو کی زندگی بچانے میں اہم رول ادا کیا ہے سوا ا لاکھ سے زائد لوگ ہمارے کیمپوں سے مستفید ہوئے ۔ پریس کانفرنس کو فاونڈیشن کے سیکریٹری رفیق احمد، سی ای او پی کے نوفیل نے بھی خطاب کیا ۔

കേരള പ്രളയം: പുനരധിവാസപദ്ധതികൾ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു
ന്യൂഡൽഹി: പീപ്പിൾസ് ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ കേരളയുമായി സഹകരിച്ചു പ്രളയത്തിൽ വീട് നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട 500 പേർക്ക് വീടുകൾ നിർമിച്ചുനൽകുമെന്ന് ഹ്യൂമൻ വെൽഫെയർ ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ. കേരളം ആസ്ഥാനമായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന പീപ്പിൾസ് ഫൗണ്ടേഷനും ഐഡിയൽ റിലീഫ് വിങ്ങും പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച പുനരധിവാസപദ്ധതികളിലാണ് ദേശീയതലത്തിൽ വിഷൻ 2026 ന് നേതൃത്വം നൽകുന്ന ഹ്യൂമൻ വെൽഫെയർ ട്രസ്റ്റ് , ഹ്യൂമൻ വെൽഫെയർ ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ തുടങ്ങിയ എൻജിഒകൾ പങ്കാളികളാവുക.
500 വീടുകൾ നിർമിക്കുന്നതിന് പുറമെ , ഭാഗികമായ തകർന്ന ആയിരം വീടുകളുടെ പുനർനിർമാണം , 500 പേർക്ക് ഉപജീവനമാർഗങ്ങൾ, 500 വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് പാഠപുസ്തകങ്ങളും പഠനോപകാരണങ്ങളും , 20 വേസ്റ്റ് മാനേജ്മെന്റ് പ്ലാന്റുകൾ , 100 ഇടങ്ങളിൽ കുടിവെള്ളപദ്ധതികൾ , 50 ലൈബ്രറികളുടെ പുനർനിർമാണം , അമ്പതോളം മെഡിക്കൽ ക്യാമ്പുകൾ എന്നിവയാണ് പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കപ്പെട്ട പദ്ധതികൾ.
കേരളത്തെ പുനർനിർമിക്കാനുള്ള യത്നത്തിൽ തങ്ങളും പങ്കാളികളാവുകയാണെന്നു പദ്ധതികൾ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഹ്യൂമൻ വെൽഫെയർ ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറി ടി. ആരിഫലി പറഞ്ഞു. ന്യൂഡൽഹിയിൽ ഹ്യൂമൻ വെൽഫെയർ ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ ആസ്ഥാനത്ത് മാധ്യമങ്ങളോട് സംസാരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം. ഉത്തരേന്ത്യയിൽ നിന്നും കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രളയബാധിതർക്ക് ഏറെ സഹായം ലഭിച്ചെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. നേരത്തെ റോഹിൻഗ്യൻ അഭയാര്ഥികളടക്കം പ്രളയബാധിതർക്കായി സാമ്പത്തികശേഖരണം നടത്തുകയും ഹ്യൂമൻ വെൽഫെയർ ഫൗണ്ടേഷന് കൈമാറുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. ഡൽഹിയിലെ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളിൽ നിന്നും ഉത്തരേന്ത്യൻ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും സഹായങ്ങൾ ലഭിച്ചു. കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം പഞ്ചാബിൽ നടന്ന ചടങ്ങിൽ കേരള ഫ്ളഡ്ഡ് റിലീഫ് പഞ്ചാബ് കമ്മിറ്റി ഹ്യൂമൻ വെൽഫെയർ ഫൗണ്ടേഷന് സാമ്പത്തികസഹായം കൈമാറി.
കേരളത്തെ മഹാപ്രളയം ബാധിച്ച ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ തന്നെ പീപ്പിൾസ് ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ , ഐഡിയൽ റിലീഫ് വിങ് എന്നിവയോട് സഹകരിച്ചു ഹ്യൂമൻ വെൽഫെയർ ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ രക്ഷാപ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിലും ശുചീകരണ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിലും സജീവമായി ഇടപെട്ടിരുന്നു. 6500 പേരെ ഐഡിയൽ റിലീഫ് വിങ്ങിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള വളണ്ടിയർമാർ രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തി. സംസ്ഥാനത്തുടനീളം 267 ദുരിതാശ്വാസക്യാമ്പുകൾ നേരിട്ട് നടത്തുകയും 212 ക്യാമ്പുകളുടെ ഭാഗമാവുകയും ചെയ്തു. 46415 കുടുംബൾക്ക് ഭക്ഷണകിറ്റുകൾ വിതരണം ചെയ്തു. 44,000 കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്കായി നാൽപ്പത് ലക്ഷം ലിറ്റർ വെള്ളം വിതരണം ചെയ്തു.
ശുചീകരണപ്രവൃത്തിയിലും വളണ്ടിയർമാർ സജീവമായി പങ്കെടുത്തു. ശുചീകരണപ്രവൃത്തികളിൽ 37,000 വളണ്ടിയർമാർ പങ്കെടുത്തു. പ്രളയബാധിതർക്കായി പന്തളം ,തൃശൂർ , ചെറുവണ്ണൂർ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ തുറന്ന സൂപ്പർമാർക്കറ്റ് ഏറെ ശ്രദ്ധേയമായിരുന്നു.
