A house is a basic need of a human being, and since everyone, particularly those with limited or no sources of income, cannot afford buying or constructing a house, many organizations across India try to provide a safe roof for them and their families.
HWT builds low-cost houses across the country for the communities and people who still live without a roof over their heads particularly in the least-developed villages of various North Indian states. With the help of our valuable donors, HWT has constructed a number of such low-cost houses and handed them over to the needy and deserving people. HWT has also constructed low-cost houses and/or provided construction support to a large number of people whose houses were hit by flood or other man-made or natural calamities.
In collaboration with People’s Foundation Kerala, HWT has recently completed the People’s Village Project for flood affected families in Kerala. A total of 25 low-cost houses were constructed in this Housing Village which is located in Chathamunda, Nilambur.
