Education is one of the key focus areas of HWT. We believe that education plays a critical role in transforming a child’s life and preparing him for a better future for himself as well as for the society. There are many children across the country who are deprived of even basic education. Through its various educational projects, HWT strives to provide “access to education” to impoverished and economically-backward communities across the country.

These educational projects include:

•   Support in school / hostel construction
•   Capacity building of existing schools and rehabilitating ill-equipped schools by developing their infrastructure.  
•   Establishment of Community Learning Centres
•   Monthly scholarships to students
•   Monthly assistance for teachers 

In 2022, Human Welfare Trust established a Community Learning Centre in Shiv Vihar, a backward slum-like area in the North East Delhi where drop-out rate from schools is very high. The Centre aims at imparting basic education to out-of-school children in order to prepare them for formal education. The Centre further aims at reducing poverty by providing basic education to the target kids of this area and gradually equipping them with employable skills as they grow up. It also organizes programs and implements projects to provide healthy and nutrient food to these kids.
