Human Welfare Trust Completes Assam Flood Rehabilitation

Gobardhana block is one of the worst flood-hit regions of Barpeta district in Assam, where the victims encountered heavy loss. A large mass of land was submerged in water and heavy loss occurred in terms of agriculture and houses.

Gobardhana is one of 12 blocks, located in the Barpeta district, situated in the urban area of Assam. Most of the people here are dependent on agriculture and it has been badly affected by repeated floods. Gobardhana is one of such blocks in Assam. Hundreds of people were affected by the deluge. The flood submerged a huge area of land and it the victims was difficult to find their means for basic needs and shelter.

Vision 2026 had undertaken emergency relief activities in the area and now has completed the rehabilitation activities by handing over 15 houses constructed for the victims, who lost their houses in the floods.
